Rare 13th-14th C. Japanese Samurai KATANA Sword with Very Nice Late Edo Mounts & Early Signed Tsuba. Japanese Koto katana featuring Shinogi-Zukuri shape, tang is Mumei unsigned, Circa 1200s to 1300s. A very old sword, 24 1/8 inches (61cm) long, with a Bo-hi groove extending down both sides through the Nakago. With Koshirae consisting of black lacquer saya, Large iron Tsuba signed on one side with 2 characters, very nicely fitted Tsuka with gilt copper or Shakudo mounts.
