Rare 19th Century Korean Armor – 19th Century, provenance: Korea, Helmet with iron, conical, one-piece skull. A big, bell-shaped, silver mount at the peak, with plume-holder on it. Front and back part with longitudinal fluted decoration. Remains of silver-inlaid ideograms on the sides. Silver-inlays on the short brim as well, portraying dragons. Iron mail cheek-piece and nape guard, covered with blue fabric. Together with iron-mail shirt, complete with sleeves and front opening. Lined with blue fabric. Height as shown 45 1/4".-.
