19th Century Afghani folding knife with Goodluck Cutlery Works made Bowie style blade. The knife measures 12 1/2? when it is opened up. length of the blade – 5.75 The handle is an Afghani Choora or khyber knife style handle and also sometimes found on Lohar axes. The black horn beaked pommel, with a few insect nibbles, is on top of bone slab grip and then a brass ferrule. There is also a sliding brass guard that moves as the knife is opened and closed. The grip slabs go over a long tang that extends above the handle and that the blade rests against when it is closed. The blade is very nicely made..
