Antique oil on canvas "Brides Attire" attributed to well known Russian artist Konstantin Makovsky (1839-1915). Signed right lower corner. Frame is 35" x 25", image is 29 1/4" x 19 1/4". Konstantin Yegorovich Makovsky (1839-1915) was an influential Russian painter, affiliated with the "Peredvizhniki (Wanderers)". Many of his historical paintings by him, such as The Russian Bride’s Attire (1889), showed an idealized view of Russian life of prior centuries.
