Antique landscape print after H.Kraemer, published by Edmund Foerster & Co. Size: 31" x 25" framed, 24" x 17 3/4" unframed.Painter and etcher Adolph Eugen Erich Kraemer was born in Los Angeles, CA on Dec. 14, 1901. Kraemer was educated at Stanford University. While at that school he was a swimming star and active in the local art scene. His art production ceased with the onset of the Depression. He then became superintendent of the Sierra Nevada Mine in Virginia City. He and his wife, artist Zoray Andrus, lived in an abandoned brewery which was a gathering place for artists.
