Fine oil on board " A January Day" by listed American artist Fred MacNeill. Size: 20 1/4" x 24 5/8" framed, 15 3/8" x 11 1/2" unframed.Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Fred MacNeill studied at Vesper George School of Art with A.J. Shelton and Arthur Stafford. New England is his main work area although the American West and its many national parks call to him.Besides the Guild, the artist is a member of the Concord Art Association, Rockport Art Association, and North Shore Arts Association.He is a winner of many awards over the course of his career, his work is represented in many private and corporate collections, including John Hancock, U.S. Trust Co., Citicorp, Otis Elevator Co., Raytheon Corp, and many others.The artist is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in America.
