Pair very nice antique oil/board Italian landscapes paintings by listed French/Austrian artist Otto Ritter von Thoren (1828 – 1889). Beautiful period gold frames. Size: 20 3/4" x 12 3/8".Karl Kasimir Otto Ritter von Thoren, aka Otto von Thoren was born on July 21, 1828 in Vienna, and died on July 15, 1889 in Paris. Otto von Thoren was the son of Francis-Casimir de Thoron and Constance-Marie-Fran?oise Lochmann.A military officer in 1846, he participated in the Austrian Revolution of 1848; he was captain of cuirassiers and then moved away for a time to Venice.
