A samurai sword in tachi style koshirae featuring family mon, kiri mon, and soft metal furniture. The blade shows a high quality horimono carving of a dragon. The saya displays a high quality nashiji lacquer replete with family mons in gold lacquer. The blade likely made ca. 1800s with the mounts dating to late 1800s to early 1900s.Total length (inside scabbard if present) : 38 1/8", Blade length : 24". ~~ .
