Interesting 19th C. Scottish Officer’s Broad Sword with Battle Honors on the Blade. Interesting example with a heavily damaged basket hilt which might possibly be a result of the warfare actions. Wearing a strong double edged blade profusely etched with Military Campaigns, battle-honors and Royal crests and ciphers, lower blade with a brass inlaid Proof seal inside the Star of Damascus. With its well survived original hard leather scabbard having white metal mounts and a fine shark skin grip…Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 39 3/4", Blade Length : 32 3/4". ~~ .
