Scarce Variation of 1850 Model American Militia Officer’s Sword Serviced through Civil War period. With its brass hilt mounts showing traces of the gold gilt finish. Nice details to the clam shell and knight’s helmet pommel, original one piece fluted bone grip. Wearing a broad straight double-edged blade with a central fuller, showing barely visible traces of once etched decorations.
