Vladimir Vasilievich Lebedev was a talented Russian artist and graphic designer. Lebedev was born and studied in St. Petersburg, where he worked as an illustrator during the 1910s and 1920s. He was heralded as the "King of the Children’s Book" for the numerous popular illustrations he created in this genre at the time.
