Scarce antique MERRIMACK ARMS – Southerner- Derringer Pistol chambered in .41 Short Rimfire caliber. This is an extremely handsome example with bright brass frame and clean steel barrel.Produced from 1866 to 1869. Half moon front sight on pivoting barrel marked SOUTHERNER on the top flat and MERRIMACK ARMS & MFG CO/ NEWBURYPORT, MASS./ PATENTED APRIL 9, 1867 on the left side.
