Koto katana, signed Kunitsugu, and ubu unshortened. This is a work by the 1st generation Uda Kunitsugu who was active in the early 1400?s. The Uda school worked in the Soshu tradition, showcased in this sword with a complex hamon of cloudlike nie formations. The blade is 28 inches long, ubu and healthy for a 600 year old sword.
