Rare Daisho with katana and wakizashi having matching koshirae. The ?Dai? katana is mumei, o-suriage, with a 26 inch blade length. It shows a high quality Soshu style hamon and includes NTHK kanteisho attributing the sword to Kunikiyo, active in the early to mid 1600?s. The ?Sho? wakizashi is signed Hoshu ju Moritsugu, a swordsmith from Bungo province active in the 1400-1500?s, with NBTHK kanteisho certification. The blade is 18 inches long with an exuberant gunome midare hamon. The mounts feature matching saya, tsuba, and furniture. The Dai has a different tsuka.
