Fine oil painting by Russian/Soviet artist Dmitry Krasnopevtsev. Framed: 11 7/8" x 15 5/8", Unframed 9 1/4" x 13 1/8".Soviet Avant-garde artist Dmitry Krasnopevtsev (2 June 1925 ? 28 February 1995) was an artist, representative of the unofficial art movement. The artist first took part in apartment views, but starting from 1974 was displayed at the exhibitions on Malaya Gruzinskaya street and abroad ? in Austria, Germany, France, the US and Japan. Krasnopevtsev worked in a genre of a "metaphysical still-life" that combines the traditions of symbolism and surrealism, became the first artist who received an award in the field of art and literature titled "Triumph" (1993). In the section of private collections in the Pushkin Museum the permanent exposition was opened titled "Dmitry Krasnopevtsev Studio", where not only the artist?s painting were displayed, but also the items from his studio.~ .
