Size: Framed: 17 1/2" x 19 1/2"; Unframed: 7 1/2" x 9 1/2".Robert Stark (1933 – 2014) was a luminist, painting principally in oil on canvas and panel.He attended Nantucket schools and after graduating from Nantucket High School, served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was the founder and director of Nantucket’s oldest gallery, The Stark Gallery on Old North Wharf.Aside from exhibiting in his own gallery, his work can be seen in The Cavalier Gallery in Nantucket, Greenwich, CT. and NYC, the Nantucket Looms, Chatham Fine Arts, Chatham, MA and the J.Todd Gallery in Wellesley, MA.His work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections in the US, Canada, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, France, China and the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, N.Y.~ .
