Very fine original landscape 1965 oil painting by listed Colorado artist Gary Steffen ( 1939-2017). Framed. Signed and dated. Provenance: Private collection, Denver, Colorado.
Size: 28 1/4" x 25" framed, 18 1/4" x 15" unframed.
Colorado native Steffen has been a professional painter for four decades, but this might surprise many: He is self-taught. Besides cityscapes, the show at Dixons will include a view of Mount Sopris at dawn, a work Steffen titled "The Last Farm” and "A Colorado Sunset” – a view near Bailey.
