A Classic antique Korean barber stool, rarely found in this excellent condition with original fittings and outstanding design.
This small stool was owned by a barber and carried to work suspended from a bamboo pole. The small drawers contained brushes, combs, razors and the other tools of his trade. He would carry the stool and stand on a pavement until a customer arrived. The customer sat on the stool, to have his hair cut, his pigtail oiled, or his face shaved. When finished he put the money in the slot in the top of the box.
