Koto katana, 27 and 1/2 inch length of cutting edge, unsigned ca. 1400?s-1500?s, with NBTHK kanteisho certification attributing the blade to Kaifu school, the blade shows a rare kanmuri-otoshi zukuri construction with an active Soshu style notare hamon, profuse sunagashi and other activities. A clean mint condition blade in ornate and original samurai style mounts with antique iron tsuba.Total length (inside scabbard if present) : 40 1/8", Blade length : 27 1/2". ~ .
