A gilt bronze figure of Buddha, Mongolia, Zanabazar school, 18th Century. Seated in dhyanasana on an elevated double-lotus base with his right hand in bhumisparshamudra and the left holding an alms bowl in his lap, wearing a tightly fitted robe with finely incised patterns and scrollwork borders draped across his left shoulder, his face with a benign expression, the hair in very fine tight curls over the prominent ushnisha and topped with a knop, richly gilt overall.Size: 238 mm x 170 mm x 110 mm.
