Mid 1800s half stock Plains percussion rifle by Marren Packard. The gun appears to be all original except a late 20th century diopter sight mounted mid barrel. The rifle features American maple stock with a pleasant tiger stripe. There is a crack in the fore arm that was repaired with a brass plate, undoubtedly, a period job. Brass patch box and mounts show original rich uncleaned patina. Total length 47 1/2". Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
