A very good and rare Napoleonic era example used by both Russian and German Prussian armies, however, originated based on the Russian model 1814, with its large brass mounted hilt showing remains of gold gilt finish, possibly an officer’s variant. Mounted with a strong single-fullered blade in oppose to the heavier double-fullered blades met on the soldier’s examples.
