Good 18th C. Sri Lanka or Ceylon KASTANE Sword. Good early example, probably 18th C. with steel blade, thick and heavier than usual and of better quality than found on later Kastane swords. Dark horn hilt carved with a monster styled pommel. The monster styled quillons the D-guard and the langets are beautifully executed in chiseled steel with gold inlays.
