A powerful large sword of very scarce pattern, with its massive iron hilt of very distinctive form, showing light wear to the original black paint finish. Mounted with a broad straight large-fullered blade free of decorations, bearing a struck maker’s name at the lower spine. Tip of the blade worn and may have been altered but at close look appears as this was done long-long time ago. Rare and very Battle-worthy weapon of English king’s own guard units. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 40", Blade Length : 33 1/4"
