Nice 18th-19th C. Islamic Ottoman Turkish YATAGAN Sword. A lovely example in its gold gilt silver and copper mounts, set with fluted red corals around the bone grip’s side-straps, as well as to the panels overlaying ricasso. Mounted with a traditionally shaped re-curved blade, inlaid on both sides with a cartouche and Islamic calligraphy, including a date. Sword is 24 1/4", blade is 14 3/4".
