Rare 17th-18th C. Islamic Indian Hooded-Katar Dagger Sword. A massive example with strong steel gauntlet hilt protecting the entire hand, decorated with brass flower rivet washers. Mounted with a powerful broad double edged blade of rare flamboyant form, multiple fuller to each side and chiseled reinforcement panels to the lower blade. A vicious and very combat-efficient weapon of Hindu warriors.Sword is 20", blade is 13 1/2".
