Beautiful Mexican retablo or Ex-Voto , painted in 1943, describing a mother giving thanks to the Virgin for the safety of her boys.
The crowned Virgin of Guadeloupe floats surrounded by clouds while the mother kneels. The background is painted in a lovely celestial color, still very bright, and the text remains very legible. Size: 9 1/8" x 7 3/8".~ .
