Rare 19th C. James Reid My Friend Knuckle Duster Revolver Pistol. Manufactured from 1868 to 1882 this is an example of a brass frame model. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND PATD. DEC. 26, 1865". The frame has a scroll engraving on the sides with engraved accents on the front and top strap. A scroll and dot engraving appears behind the hammer and a checkered panel is featured on the back of the grip section. Serial #9753. Non working condition, needs some gunsmith attention.
